Christmas Music

I have written a lot of Christmas music.  Every year since 1983, I have written a new carol (sometimes more than one) to send as a musical greeting a Christmas time.  (So far, over sixty.) Many of these carols have been turned into more elaborate settings for chorus and/or soloists.   Some of the carols have been gathered into groups: for example, Now is the Time (1999), Come Christmas (2011), Five Carols (2015), and A Wreath of Carols (2017).  Other carols were written for chorus without having been annual carols: for example Five Medieval Songs and Carols (1991), Five Medieval Songs (1994), The Shepherd and the King (2000), Kings Came Riding (2004), King Herod’s Carol (2003), The Riding of the Kings (2010), Ighlentsay Ightnay (2012), and The Contest of Holly and Ivy (2019).  Plus I wrote a Christmas opera, One Shepherd Stayed Behind (1992).
